Visiting the MidWest

Last week our ASA High School Tour was lucky enough to visit two different markets, Kansas City, MO and Des Moines, IA.

Our athletes had a great time meeting and hanging out with the students. One of the best things about our High School Tour is seeing the students interact with the athletes. The students can really relate to them. Believe it or not our High School Tour athletes and the students of these schools have a lot in common. One thing in particular, adversity. The Webster Dictionary uses the word adversity in this example, “He showed courage in the face of adversity.” That’s what both our athletes and these students do daily. Whether it’s trying to overcome a difficult trick in a competiton or trying to figure out which group you fit in at school, adversity comes in all forms.

A big thanks to our mid west schools for being such great hosts, Winnetonka High School, Lansing High School, Norwalk Senior High School, Boone High School, and Lincoln High School.

Until next time….
